Big Apple Bagels in Avon

I went on New Year's day. I was excited to see this place open at 0430 in the morning. The store was clean and smelled great. I was greeted by a very nice man who took my order and prepared everything for me so that I didn't have to do anything but eat. It was by far the best breakfast experience I've had at places similar to this. I will gladly come back.

Love this location. The owners are great! The staff is friendly. Check the menu ahead of going if it's your 1st time...so many options, it can be a little overwhelming. Delicious bagels and the sandwiches are a nice break from usual take out. Turkey & Havarti on an Asiago bagel is my fave...and the chocolate chip muffins! Also love that they have Red Creme Soda!

Absolutely lovely people work here. The place is very clean and the food is amazing. It's definitely a nice quiet spot for a lunch date

Went in to get a sandwich also purchased a muffin the sandwich was great and the muffin had a piece of hair in it. Extremely gross wont be back

My new favorite morning spot. They even brought me food out to me. Healthy, fresh, great choice of coffee, and they are extremely nice.

I used to work there in High school in college, 5 years ago. Never a bagel person before then, and didn't realize how spoiled I was. Ever since I left there I have not found a bagel as flavorful or as fresh as the ones I had at BAB until i went to ACTUAL NYC to find something close. Truly a gem hidden in the suburban landscape of the midwest.

This place is absolutely amazing. Dave is there first thing in the morning, every morning with a smile on his face. I've never felt so welcomed into a business as this one. Dave gets our order right, every time. They also have a massive selection of bagels as well as coffee, cupcakes, smoothies and lunch items. Their lunch sandwiches are stacked high and great as well.

My go to local place for delicious bagels and muffins. They also have smoothies. If you get the bagel toasted it is very lightly done unless you ask for it to be crispier. Some of the specialty flavors are blueberry cobbler and a jalapeno cheddar. The fresh start breakfast sandwich is popular. Comes on honey oat bagel and has egg turkey sausage and tomato. Both healthy and decadent options abound

My family and friends all love this place for a late morning snack. They have a variety of freshly made bagels. They will customize a breakfast sandwich on a bagel for you. They also offer coffee, tea and smoothies. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you at your table. They are pretty fast with their service.

The Mediterranean Veg-out sandwich was delicious!All of their bagels are delicious! The best bagel shop in my opinion!I wish they had one on my side of town!

I met a friend there for lunch on 12/29/19. We love their assortment of bagels and coffee! The staff is young, but very respectful and attentive. They worked very well together during a very busy time of day. Once the rush was over they all had jobs to recover the cases and clean the lobby. I love this place. I often take these muffins or bagels to work. It is so impressive and everyone always ask where I go them. They say they are the best muffins/bagels they have ever tasted.

My wife and I go nearly every Sunday morning before church. Wonderful staff and service with delicious bagels. I recommend the garlic bagel with onion and chive cream cheese

Super cute little bagel shop! They have bagels, muffins, smoothies, and specialty coffees. I wasn't super impressed with the broccoli soup but the bagels are absolutely amazing and the staff was super friendly. Wish I could find a shop like this close to where I live!

Some of their sweets were dry, but their sandwiches are yummy! One of Avon's cozy places for a bite.

I’ve been going here for over 7 years. The staff is always friendly and personable. It amazes me how every sandwich I get always comes out perfect. I’ve never received an order that seems just thrown together. I’m not sure I have heard anything but positive things about this place. Avon is lucky to have this place and it be ran by great caring owners!

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I had a craving for salmon cream cheese bagel that's when Big Apple Bagels came up on google maps search. We found everything we wanted here and so much more! Their lox bagel is absolutely delicious! And it has LOTS of salmon, not just 1 see-through slice like in some other places. The owners served us and were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They gave us a box full of mini muffins for free after knowing we were new in the neighborhood!(really tasty muffins too!) The altogether experience at Big Apple Bagels was amazing, with so much heart and soul.I definitely recommend Big Apple Bagels to anyone.

One of my favorite restaurants to get breakfast or lunch. Their bagels are delicious and their smoothies are refreshing!! Depending on the day or time they will be super busy and they still provide excellent service and quality food.

My first visit here was very good. I had a northern omelette sandwich on a french toast bagel. It was very delicious. They have a large selection of bagels and muffin flavors

My boyfriend and I enjoy this very much! And I am always glad to get my free sample mini cupcakes everytime I walk in. They are fast and have a any flavor of bagels to choose from. And their cream cheese flavors are absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend. Fast! Friendly! Warm! Welcoming! (Even at 3am!)

Great bagels. Tables of people talking laughing, just drinking coffee. They (the large table of customers) laughed about Covid. Hard to get my bagel to go and avoid them. Sad.

Love thier bagel sandwiches

Bagel sandwiches fresh & tasty but I love the coffee. I never thought I'd like blueberry coffee but it's so good. There are little sample cups so you can try before you fill up your big cup but I recommend trying a flavor you didn't think to try before. There are usually about 4-6 options of brews. So many bagel options & French toast is a sweet cinnamon treat.

Excellent is understating this little gem. Stumbled upon this place one morning and the early morning guy was as nice as a person could be. If he's not the owner I would be surprised. Gentle and relaxing atmosphere. The bagels are hands down the best I've had around here or anywhere to be exact. Keep on what you are doing and you will be well ng franchises before long! Great work and I'm proud to say I've been there!!

Love going here to eat and to see the always happy staff! They are very friendly and welcoming. They work well with complicated orders and move fast. Anytime I'm in Avon, I love to stop in. The muffins are amazing!

They have awesome bagels and service!

So I'm leaving the dentist a few doors down and the kids (which FYI if you are in need of a dentist for special needs toddlers, I highly recommend Katherine Blair Jones of Kidz Smile Dentistry) and I are overdue for breakfast. Walk down to the Big Apple Bagel joint in Avon, IN and OMG! the little cheesecake varieties were cute, but the Blueberry Crumble coffee and Georgia Peach Muffin was divine!"Icing on the Cake" The staff was friendly and patient, and although they were busy, the service quick, prices were decent also.

I recommend getting there early so you have the most options. Because the selection is amazing in the morning!

The food is always great and freshly made. The smoothies are blended in house, and the owners are friendly and engaging.

I absolutely love this place. Been a guest since 2017 and so far not a single bad experience. Delicious food, fair prices, clean facility and overall good experience. I recommend the Cinnamon Cheesecake muffin.

Got my kids a French toast bagel, they were given cinnamon sugar bagels...we tried them, but it wasn't for us. The egg with sausage sandwich bagel was good. Coffee was good.

Service was on point. They care about high quality, accurate orders, and the food was delicious. Awesome bagels, good coffee, very comfortable and clean environment. Other food looked amazing, too. Will have to wait until our next visit to try more stuff :)

What a fantastic place to get a good quality bagel or bagel sandwich! After living in NYC, I find it hard to find a great NY style bakery that can produce a quality bagel, but Big Apple has hit the nail on the head. Excellent. They also offer other baked goods such as muffins and pastries that are very unique; flavored coffees that are fantastic; and, they have a small outlet/partnership in the location with a smoothie bar.

Great place to get breakfast that's not fast food like. Place needs a little work but is always a great place for breakfast and coffee
